March 2025 Monthly Roundup
Nothing to see here, Waywards reader. That’s not an early April Fools’ joke either. I honestly don’t have much to share this time around; the 7-day work weeks have seen to that.
I didn’t write any articles for commission that were published this month, though I submitted a story that should be online come mid-April. It will be in the next monthly roundup, I reckon.
I did a noteworthy interview this month for the book I wish I was able to work on more consistently. I interviewed Kevin ‘Rashid’ Johnson, an incarcerated organizer who’s affiliated the Revolutionary Intercommunal Black Panther Party and with the Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee (IWOC) of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW). Mr. Johnson published an edited version of our Q&A on his website. That Q&A is available here.
Poetry also got short shrift this month. The lack of time and energy to wax poetic has been perhaps the most aggravating aspect of the incessant labor. But I made a little more headway writing a poem-in-progress to a percussion beat provided by a friend. Maybe I’ll wrap that one up before the next roundup rolls around.
But before this one is over, I’d be remiss not to include another picture of my Buddy, which I took this morning. In case this wasn’t abundantly clear by now, Buddy and I are a package deal.
